FAQ
- What area does Meteoradar cover?
The app focuses on the Czech Republic (CZ). - Where does the radar data come from?
Radar data is provided by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) under the CC BY 4.0 license. - Does Meteoradar modify the radar data?
Meteoradar displays the radar data as provided (with image optimization to reduce download size). We don’t edit the meteorological meaning of the data. - Why can the radar look different from other apps?
Different apps may use different providers, processing, or map styling. Meteoradar shows ČHMÚ radar data and focuses on fast loading and a clean view. - What is “Extrapolation / forecast” in the app?
It’s a short-term extrapolation (nowcast) up to 1 hour ahead, in 10-minute steps. - What does “Lower quality” do?
It downloads smaller radar images to load faster and work better on weak connections (for example in the mountains).
